Account book includes annual entries for household expenses, estate accounts, books purchased, profits and losses, bank stock, notes payable, and individual accounts with James F. De Peyster, William Donovan, Stephen Wilson, and Edward Morris. 17 pages. Receipt book provides detailed records for the purchase of groceries, books, fuel, furniture, pasturage, livestock, as well as payment of tuition for the local parish school, servants wages, personal services, medical bills, etc. Receipts are dated New York until 1820, then Boston for remaining period. 180 pages.
